2022 Budget Spending

Commitment in an uncertain environment

2022 has been a year of so much transition, from who we were in the depths of the pandemic, to who we have become: a community that has been tested, that has found strength within ourselves, a community that is emerging from the other side of this global epidemic with new skills and stronger relationships to one another and to our community. We are, in so many ways, together for joy.

We hope you’ll join us in giving thanks to God for our leadership, especially for our session and our board of deacons, whose leadership and ministry have helped us to continue to connect our community to God through love and service in this year. And of course, we are thankful for the ministry and leadership of Pastor Sarah, who joined us at the beginning of the pandemic and has been alongside us through so much transition and change. We are truly blessed by our lay and pastoral leadership!

Over the past year, we have made investments in our community that we hope will help us to connect to God and to one another. We have added Nathaniel to our staff to support ministry to Children and Families and continued to invest in Adult Education through our Theologian-in-Residence, the Rev. Jesse Garner. We have invested in our facility, repairing the masonry of our tower, remodeling our sacristy and bathroom, and tending the gardens and grounds to make our facility attractive to our church and potential visitors.

As every organization you’re a part of has already said to you, your financial support means more now than ever to keep this flexibility, creativity, and faithfulness alive and thriving in the year to come. Even as the pandemic has begun to recede, the reality of inflation and a chaotic market mean that your pledges are more important than ever to our ability to grow and to thrive. And we have big goals: we hope to continue to grow our worshipping community on Sunday mornings, to invest in improved signage on the exterior of our building and in resurfacing our parking lot, and to improve our Fellowship Hall for the use of our Caring Cupboard as well as our community.
