Sunday School for adults meets from 9:00-10:00 AM before the 10:00 AM church service.
The adult Sunday School class is led by professional Christian educators. The class explores highly relevant topics. In Spring 2011 for example, the class explored the role of God in the history of the United States. They watched and discussed the very informative film series “God in America”. This teaching unit included a visit from Abraham Lincoln biographer Dr. Ron White whose research provides a fascinating glimpse into Lincoln’s deepest thoughts and personal faith throughout the terrible years of the War between the States. The group also meets for occasional soup and sandwich suppers (delicious!) with a lecture or book discussion.
Other opportunities for spiritual growth for adults occur throughout the week, including prayer groups, Tuesday morning Bible Study, prayer breakfast for men and the Presbyterian Women’s Association. Contact the chair of the Adult Education Committee, Mr. Roy Roseberry, through the church office.
